“Just wanted to say thanks to you and Angela for such a marvellous concert last night. Each time you’ve performed for us you’ve cast the same spell and nobody I spoke to afterwards was anything other than enthralled”.

Lynne’s repertoire extends from baroque to contemporary music. Recent and future engagements include music as diverse as Isis’ Lament from Lutyens’ Isis and Osiris, Bach Magnificat, Faure Requiem, Mozart’s C Minor Mass and Requiem, Jenkins The Armed Man, Rutter Requiem, Orff’s Carmina Burana, and Handel’s Messiah. Panis Angelicus, Franck

“Special thanks for your singing of She Moved Through The Fair which was magic! It’s so easy for ‘classical’ singers to ruin folk songs! Another highlight for me (and there were many!) was Nina by Pergolesi”.

Lynne has a busy private teaching practice working with adults of all levels. After 20 years specialising in teenage voices and cathedral choristers, she became interested in older singers and singing as a lifelong activity, so stopped working with children  in order to dedicate herself to working with adults. Her students range in experience from absolute beginners, university students to professional and semi professional singers who sing many different genres of music- musical theatre, classical, opera and choral music. She is particularly interested in the causes of and treatments for vocal damage and is able to set up a personalised recovery programme for individuals who may be experiencing trouble with their speaking or singing voice. In addition, Lynne presents workshops on vocal technique to choirs and choral societies throughout the north west. No matter what her students’  experience or ambitions, all lessons are tailored to the individual needs of the singer whether that’s audition repertoire, solo repertoire or basic technique.

Lynne has sung on
Songs of Praise
and is a regular performer on
BBC Radio 4’s Daily Service.

Lynne has a particular passion for choral singing and has sung in choirs, both big and small, all her life. She currently works with the St Nicholas Singers, a 5 voice ensemble which works mainly with the corporate community in Liverpool, but  twice a month they are to be heard singing during services at Our Lady and St Nicholas Church, Liverpool. Lynne also sings with Liverpool Bach Collective and the Liverpool Chorale as well as being a regular soloist and recitalist.
As well as singing in choirs, Lynne has lots of experience conducting choirs and is very excited to be directing Level 10, Liverpool’s newest cutting edge ensemble. Level 10 aims to challenge how choral music is perceived and asks the listener to reconsider their way of listening. Music is taken from the very earliest days of choral singing right up to the present day and is presented in unusual venues- car parks, tunnels, parks and in the dark. Each concert has something special  and interesting to offer and the choir is growing a strong reputation in the city.

“Thanks again for your recital, such a varied range of song, it was most enjoyable”.

“What a wonderful concert from a lovely soloist and a great and sensitive accompanist.
I enjoyed every minute of it. I hope we in St Helens will hear this lovely voice again often in the future.
“Her presentation is excellent and her communication with the audience is excellent”.
“Thanks again for a super recital. The audience was buzzing”.

“It was wonderful – great choice of songs, lovely pure voice, and informal, non-stuffy presentation.  Your ability to sing very quietly and yet hold the audience totally was spell-binding. I just loved it all”!

“Lynne’s appearance last year will be remembered with joy by everyone who was there – some of the sweetest singing we’d ever heard and a choice of music that was wide-ranging and full of appeal, from Purcell to Sondheim. It left the audience spellbound”.

“Lynne is not to be missed. On two occasions so far, Lynne Rogers has totally beguiled us with her sweet singing of songs from Purcell onwards. Thanks again for your stunning recital”.
